Veronica Winter

Veronica Winter

Veronica has been teaching Yoga for 20 years and practisicing for 27 years. She started her journey in 1995 in London and feels blessed to have had Liz Lark and Nigel Jones as her first Yoga teachers and fondly regards Liz and Nigel as her Mother & Father of Yoga. As a young teacher visiting India for the first time in 2003, she turned up to practice one day only to be told the teacher could not teach. Veronica offered to cover the teacher that day and then spent the rest of her holiday living in a beach hut teaching two classes a day.

Since then, Veronica has taught yoga in Sri Lanka, Italy, Greece and Turkey and continues to teach on Yoga holidays, including India on a regular basis. Veronica's practise is Ashtanga and she attends Mysore practice 3 times a week and teaches 6 days a week. She lives in the Cotswolds and attends monthly workshops to keep her teaching updated and relevant. She loves to practice and teach, "Yoga is like magic" she says. Her smallest class is 8 students and the largest is 50! Veronica has taught at a number of festivals. In 2003, she began her Yoga Teacher training with The British Wheel of Yoga with David Charlton and Gail Reeves of Living Yoga, and began teaching shortly afterwards. Veronica has trained with Shiva Rea in Vinyasa Flow, completed Ashtanga teacher training with David Swenson and qualified as a Yin Yoga with Norma Blair. Most recently attended anatomy & physiology training with Gary Carter of Better Bodies and currently taking another with Gary who she feels is the Godfather of A & P.
