The Secret Garden Party is no longer a secret. Every year many entrepreneurs attempt to sneak in, over the fences and under the hedges. Sadly those who refuse to pay are also those who cause the trouble – vandalising tents and damaging installations.

For 2008 we will once again be aiming for zero break-ins. More fencing, more perimeter patrolling and ticket-only access to the car park. When you arrive you will be welcomed by a whooping fence which you CANNOT climb.

There will be only ONE entrance, behind which all the car parks, campsites and stages can be found. This entrance and the surrounding ‘B’ roads will be permanently patrolled by our security officers and lovely policemen.

Access will not be possible without a valid ticket. Entering and exiting the event will only be possible with your new credit card ‘ticket’ – when swipped this will access your details which must be verified with photo identification.

A little bit scary but crucial in preserving the freedom of The SGP. Remember this is not Glastonbury or Bestival. If the ticket price is too expensive there are numerous ways to avoid either digging a tunnel or paying £125. Visit the Participation page to find out how.
