Come and Play

Come and Play is a sumptuous palace of earthly delights where one and all are invited to come and do just that.

During the day, come and have a go: book yourself a slot on our open-mic stage, whatever your pleasure: music, cabaret, circus, comedy, performance, poetry, or dance. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never done it before, it’s just for fun, and it’s the getting involved that counts. Otherwise you can while away pleasant hours with friends playing the pinball, board, or video games, or getting into positions you never thought possible on our giant twister, which can handle up to 30 people!

In the evening, the arcade remains open for partying, while the stage tent plays host to an eclectic mix of bands, djs, and performance, for your delight and delectation.

Sitting at the heart of Come and Play, the Ooh La-La cafe will be open 24 hours serving organic, fair-trade food for a range of dietary requirements: -a deli style menu with a wide variety of salads, falafels, houmous, guacamole, cheeses and other delights; accompanied by potato wedges, new boiled potatoes and a choice of dressings. Chocolate cake, carrot cake (wheat free option available), flapjacks, pastries, muffins and cookies, and a tuck-shop full of fair-trade fun. Tantalising teas, freshly ground espresso coffee, and a selection of ethical soft drinks. Full English and continental breakfasts will also be served from 7-11.30am.
